Altum wins Leadership in Sustainable Finance award


We were extremely grateful and proud to receive the Leadership in Sustainable Finance – Corporate Services award this year. It is a real testament to the hard work behind the scenes of our ESG Committee, along with the trust and support of our C-Suite members.

Altum’s sustainability journey
Altum’s sustainability journey began as a conversation around a boardroom table with a collection of passionate individuals who quickly grew into what is now our well-established ESG Committee showing even more passion and determination to make meaningful changes to our own behaviours and that of our stakeholders.
Without any dedicated resource to our journey, we have relied on not just the committee members’ energy, but of the whole business, with initiatives achieving market-leading engagement, such as our global staff travel survey and training via Greenly achieving a 97% completion rate, which included all our C-Suite members setting the tone from the top.

Collaboration
Collaboration is key for us as we recognise that we are far from having all the answers. We can achieve more in this space when adopting a collective approach which is why we have worked with so many talented and innovative businesses to help improve how we become more responsible in what we do, from attending training put on by Jersey Finance, to working with Seismic in adopting the B Impact Assessment framework, to partnering with Ryde Jersey for all our staff Jersey road travel, to the team at True for all-round support and strategy development, and working with Equilibrium Futures in delivering the best sustainable finance training to our staff, to name just a few.

Embracing the advancements of AI and technology
We welcome and embrace the advancements of AI and technology, looking at ways we can capture more data and report more accurately and timely on reports such as our Carbon Footprint Audit, which is why we committed to a 3-year contract with Greenly to enhance our reporting and provide transparency to our stakeholders on a completely voluntary basis. Away from the tech side, we have staff members so committed to the cause that they have been willing to help us weigh our rubbish bags to get as accurate readings as possible for our Carbon Footprint Audit!

Education. Education. Education.
Our team are regular attendees at key forums and conferences, such as the Climate Risk Reporting 2025 conference in London, to ensure that we are embracing the ever-changing regulatory landscape and delivering an honest value-add service to our stakeholders.
We are also a proud signatory of UN Global Compact and love using their academy resources and love to knowledge share internally through our Viva Engage site as well as externally, having Altum representatives speak regularly at events on ESG and sustainability topics as well as sitting on key working groups such as the Future Sustainable Finance Leaders group.
Although awards are not what we judge ourselves on and we know we have a long way to go still on this journey, it helps us to look back on some great successes during the year and we are very thankful to those who helped us achieve all we did.
