Altum Group announces key leadership appointment to accelerate AIFM global growth

Altum Group has strengthened its global AIFM and leadership team with the appointment of Christian Hertz as Managing Director and Global Head of ManCo.

As Managing Director, Christian will lead the Luxembourg AIFM leadership team, overseeing operations, client service and business development. He will also serve as a director on the AIFM board, ensuring the business continues to operate to the highest regulatory and governance standards while promoting a strong risk aware culture.

In his role, Christian will develop Altum’s existing engagement with industry partners while collaborating on product development and go-to-market strategies.

Christian has a strong regulatory background, and extensive management experience having started as an M&A lawyer in Paris before joining Linklaters in Luxembourg as a Fund Lawyer. After 15 years in private practice. he joined a leading third party AIFM in Luxembourg where he held various roles including CEO for the last six years. During his time with the firm, he built the business into the largest third‑party AIFM in Europe, overseeing more than €90bn in assets under management and leading a team of 170 staff.

Christian’s appointment comes at a time of strong momentum for Altum’s Luxembourg business, as the firm continues to scale in response to growing client demand.
