Role summary
This role operates at a Group level as a Senior HR Business Partner, providing strategic and operational HR support across several jurisdictions. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the role is responsible for partnering with leadership in Jersey, Guernsey, the United Kingdom, and Luxembourg to deliver a high-quality, proactive HR service that supports business objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the dedicated Senior HR Business Partner to multiple jurisdictions, supporting Managing Directors and management teams in aligning people strategies with divisional goals through effective performance and talent management.
- Collaborate with department heads and the wider HR team to support the end-to-end Talent Acquisition process, ensuring the Group attracts and secures the best talent in a cost-effective and compliant manner.
- Support the Head of Human Resources in identifying and developing top talent across the business. Contribute to succession planning and the design of tailored development, recognition, and reward initiatives.
- Support the Head of Human Resources with people-related aspects of M&A activity, including due diligence, integration planning, and employee communications.
- Provide hands-on coaching and guidance to line managers on all aspects of people management, helping to build confidence and capability in dealing with day-to-day and complex HR matters.
- Partner with teams across the business to identify training and development needs, and work with the Learning and Development Manager to design and deliver appropriate solutions.
- Take ownership of assigned HR projects across key areas such as learning, reward. HR systems, and performance management, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Manage employee relations matters, including disciplinary processes, grievances, and dismissals, in line with statutory requirements and Group policies. Escalate complex or high-risk cases to the Head of Human Resources where appropriate.
- Collaborate with the wider HR team to deliver quarterly HR reporting by compiling and analysing data on key workforce metrics such as headcount, turnover, absence, recruitment activity, and staff costs.
- Ensure compliance with evolving employment legislation across all jurisdictions. Support the HR team in the review and updating of HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
- Play an active role in the annual salary review and bonus process by providing business units with relevant data, insights, and recommendations to support fair and informed decision-making.
- Act as a sounding board and point of support for the wider HR team on operational HR activities, offering guidance and insight to ensure consistency and excellence in service delivery.
Skills and experience
- A relevant professional qualification (e.g. CIPD Level 5 or above, or equivalent).
- Proven track record in a HR Business Partnering role, with experience supporting a senior management-level client group.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a multi-jurisdictional environment; exposure to Jersey, Guernsey, and the UK is essential.
- Experience working within or closely with Luxembourg jurisdictions is highly desirable.
- Strong project management skills, with a history of successfully leading or contributing to cross-functional HR initiatives.
- Broad knowledge across key HR disciplines, including employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, reward, and learning & development.
- Ability to influence and build trusted relationships at all levels of the organisation.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complexity with professionalism and discretion.
