Key Responsibilities
Communication and Relationships:
- Maintain a strong relationship with the client and understand the client’s structures and needs;
- Maintain a strong relationship with internal teams;
- Liaise and interact with clients, other offices and client advisors, in order to prepare the financial statements.
Bookkeeping and reporting:
- Responsible for the bookkeeping for various Luxembourg companies;
- Prepare the annual financial statements, interim accounts or financial reports;
- Prepare the supporting packs for the bookkeeping for various Luxembourg companies;
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and year-end closings;
- Support the audit of financial statements and facilitate communication with auditors during the annual audit (where required);
- Arrange filings with eCDF and MyGuichet;
- Review service provider-prepared accounts;
- Implement and follow financial procedures and controls as set out by Group Policy and client specific procedures. Recommend enhancements to systems and procedures;
- Support the preparation and submission of WHT forms (where required);
- Support the preparation of VAT / CIT returns (where required);
- Support FATCA and CRS reporting;
- Prepare monthly/urgent payments and maintain expenses report (where required), and evaluate cash balances and determine funding requirements.
Administrative:
- Record the working hours/client in the time billing system according to the objectives set.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance, (ACCA-qualified or part qualified would be a distinct advantage);
- Sound knowledge of Fund Accounting and Fund Structures with experienced in bookkeeping through to investor reporting is advantageous;
- Good knowledge of LuxGaap (IFRS, Consolidation and/or USGaap is advantageous);
- Proficient in using accounting system (BOB50, NAVOne and Allvue experience is advantageous);
- 3 years of experience with a professional services firm;
- Good communication and organizational skills in order to meet tight deadlines;
- Proactive with a client service orientated attitude;
- Ability for multiple tasks requested at the same time and set priorities;
- Ability to solve problems and work independently and as a member of a team.
