Johann Verster
Associate Director
Johann is an Associate Director at Altum’s Luxembourg office, where he leads accounting and administration teams in Luxembourg and South Africa and serves on several unregulated boards.
He has a strong technical background in financial reporting, corporate governance, and fund and SPV administration across key jurisdictions. Before joining Altum, Johann worked with global fund administrators, gaining over six years of industry experience. His deep expertise in private debt and capital markets enhances Altum’s capabilities in these asset classes.
He earned his qualification from the University of Stellenbosch, specialising in financial and management accounting, tax, and audit. With nearly a decade of combined audit and fund administration experience, Johann has a solid command of IFRS and Lux GAAP, along with complementary knowledge of US GAAP.
