Role summary
We are looking for a trainee administrator to join our Funds & Institutional team at Altum. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop their career in fund administration within a reputable financial services firm. The successful candidate will assist in the administration of a portfolio of funds, undertaking a range of basic administration duties such as preparing payments, circulation of client correspondence, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering high-quality service to clients within Altum under direction from your designated superiors.
Key responsibilities
- Working closely with your superior to provide quality and efficient service to clients;
- Assistance in administration of basic client portfolio under direction from your superior;
- Liaison with clients, client advisors and bankers on basic administrative matters;
- Prepare basic general emails and letters for review;
- Ensure timely filing of documents in line with group policy;
- Prepare and process fund expenses, payments, and bank account opening forms;
- Assist with the preparation of meeting board packs and basic client meeting preparation;
- Arranging review and execution of documents;
- Maintain and Monitor task list to ensure completion on a timely basis;
- Perform other duties as necessary to support the administrative team;
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of personal time in line with group procedures;
- Assist with the drafting of invoices and arranging settlement and monitoring receipt of settlement.
Skills and experience
- Minimum A level (or equivalent) education.
- Good standard of GCSE’s or equivalent with pass grades in both English and Maths;
- Interest in pursuing a relevant professional qualification (e.g., CGI or equivalent);
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment;
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
