Key responsibilities
Communication and relationships
- Maintain a strong relationship with the clients and understand the clients’ structures and needs;
- Maintain a strong relationship with internal teams and departments;
- Liaise and interact with clients, client advisors, and connected parties in order to prepare relevant reporting packs and financial statements.
Bookkeeping and reporting
- Responsible for the bookkeeping for various Luxembourg companies;
- Prepare the annual financial statements, interim accounts or financial reports;
- Prepare the supporting packs for the bookkeeping for various Luxembourg companies;
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and year-end closings;
- Support the audit of financial statements and facilitate communication with auditors during the annual audit (where required);
- Arrange filings with eCDF and MyGuichet;
- Implement and follow financial procedures and controls as set out by Group Policy and client specific procedures. Recommend enhancements to systems and procedures;
- Support the preparation and submission of simple tax forms (where required);
- Support the preparation of VAT / CIT returns (where required);
- Support FATCA and CRS reporting;
- Prepare monthly/ad-hoc payment runs and maintain expense reports (where required), and evaluate cash balances and determine funding requirements.
- Related administrative tasks.
Skills, knowledge, and experience
- Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance, (ACCA-qualified or part qualified would be a distinct advantage);
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles with (experience in investor reporting is advantageous);
- Good knowledge of LuxGAAP (IFRS, Consolidation and/or USGAAP is advantageous);
- Proficient in using accounting system (NAVOne and/or Allvue experience is advantageous)
- 3 years of experience as an accountant with a professional services firm;
- Good communication and organizational skills in order to meet tight deadlines;
- Proactive with a strong focus on delivering excellent client service;
- Team player;
- Ability to solve problems and work independently, and as a member of a team.
