Reporting directly to the Board of Directors of Altum Luxembourg S.A., amongst the responsibilities of the Head of Compliance will be:
- Act as RC for Altum Luxembourg S.A.;
- Review, update, implement and manage the AML-CFT/Compliance plan and policies;
- Undertaking on-going compliance monitoring on the basis of a risk-based Compliance Monitoring Programme;
- Oversee the Compliance team to ensure the successful delivery of the Programme, reviewing the findings reports and ensuring follow-up on completion of all remediation by the relevant business units;
- Assist in the identification, review and reporting of relevant KIPs for the Board of Directors;
- Preparing comprehensive reports to the MLRO of the Luxembourg office and to the Board of Directors;
- Assist the MLRO of the Luxembourg office on all AML/CTF related functions and tasks in general;
- Participate in the relevant internal committees and to Board of Directors’ meetings as required;
- Participate in internal and external audits;
- Act as point of contact for Luxembourg’s Regulatory Authorities (CSSF, CRF);
- Cooperation with Compliance representatives of other Altum offices;
- Lead a small Compliance team and be in charge of the second line of defence all the while providing mentoring, training and development to the team;
- Assist the first line of defence in designing and implementing their policies and procedures;
- Maintain and develop a compliance culture in line with all legislation and regulations applicable to the Company;
- Support to the employees and on regulatory queries including matters related to AML-CFT;
- Ensure and provide required AML training and awareness raising measures to the staff in line with all legislation and regulations applicable to the Company and group standards
Experience and qualifications required:
- Proven experience of 5 to 7 years in a similar position in a PSF, fiduciary or trust company regulated by the CSSF;
- Already CSSF approved RC would be an asset;
- Deep knowledge of Luxembourg’s laws and regulatory framework, and keeping pace with changes
- Comprehensive knowledge of the AML rules and regulations;
Skills Required:
- Ability to work successfully both in a team as well as independently;
- Hands-on approach, positive mind-set and continuous strive for new challenges;
- Excellent organization skills and the ability to prioritize, stress resistant;
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of French is a plus
- Demonstrated management of teams, projects, and cross-border experience;
- Strong communications skills: ability to effectively communicate in an international environment with stakeholders;
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications
