Key responsibilities
Operational Process Flow Development (circa 70%)
- Responsible for analyzing the existing and new business process flows across the Group with the aim to maximise efficiency through centralization, standardization and systemization/digitalization of process’. Including:
- Analyzing business requirements and translating them into functional and technical specifications for Power Platform solutions.
- Digitalization of existing checklists and workflows within our core business systems (NavOne, Allvue, RiskScreen).
- Development of operational reporting using the Microsoft Power Platform tools and services to digitize business operations.
- Development of automated business reporting based upon risked identified by the business.o Development of client specific reporting platforms based upon specific requirements of individual customers.
- Liaise with Technology department in developing and configuring Power Apps, Power Automate flows, Power BI dashboards and reports, power virtual agents, and other components using best practices and standards.
- Collaborating with other team members on a variety of projects and initiatives.
Deployment of Digital Solutions across Group (circa 20%)
- Documenting, deploying, and managing Power Platform solutions in line with Altum’s change management framework.
- Providing technical support and guidance to end users and stakeholders on Power Platform features and functionalities.
- Training and development of front office staff to ensure efficient use of systems and tools in place.
- Championing of digital solutions and ensuring historic work practices are successfully archived.
General Support (circa 10%)
- We are currently a small global team and this role is the first Operational position based in the Cape Town office. As such, there will be occasions where the candidate is expected to assist with operational activities outside of their main role. Including:
- Assisting in the onboarding process and management of entities through our digital onboarding platform.
- Review and assistance in managing and improving data across various databases.
- Liaise with other operational and administrative employees via phone, email and face-to-face, with a friendly, approachable and “can-do” attitude.
- Perform other duties as necessary to support the operations team and wider business, and generally act in the best interests of the Group by supporting team members.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a good standard of oral and written English, along with the following skills and experience:
- Desire to work in an operational role within the financial services industry.
- Demonstrable interest in technology and innovative solutions.
- A university degree in business studies or a related field would be preferred.
- Holding a minimum A-level (or equivalent) qualification in business studies and an IT and/or computing related field, or currently working towards a suitable professional qualification.
- At least two years experience within a financial services business focusing on accounting, administration or operational processes
- Demonstrable experience of process flow development.
- Experience working within a formalized governance framework.
- A modern understanding and experience of financial services businesses.
- Knowledge of data modeling, data analysis, data visualization and report design.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience working with Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Experience with NavOne or Allvue systems is a distinct advantage, but not a requirement.
