AML/CFT & Compliance Officer – Luxembourg

Role summary
The primary purpose of the Compliance team (the “Team”) is to anticipate, identify and assess the compliance risks of the business as well as to assist the senior management in controlling these risks. These risks may include a variety of risks such as reputational risk, legal risk, litigation risk, risk of sanctions, as well as some operational risk aspects, in connection with all activities of the business.
Key responsibilities
- Support to the RC, for the control and oversight of compliance with the AML/CFT/CPF professional obligations and assisting the “Funds Responsables du Respect” (RR) in meeting any compliance function reporting obligations and duties.
- Coordination and supervision of the AML/KYC process on the Funds’ counterparties (incl. risk classification and maintenance of the AML files) and pre-validation of AML/KYC files.
- Cooperation with the RC in drafting and updating the Funds’ AML/CFT policies/procedures, the AML Risk Assessment and Risk Appetite Statements.
- Support on the ongoing and on-site due diligence on the Company/Funds’ delegates for the Compliance topics.
- Support on the reporting to the RR on the monitoring of the Funds’ performance regarding AML/CFT/CPF (i.e. KPIs, quarterly and annual reports) and the reporting due to the relevant authorities.
- Legal/regulatory survey and punctual drafting of memoranda.
- Cooperation with the Conducting Officer for the follow-up and implementation of the Company’s Compliance Monitoring Plan (CMP);
- Support to the Company’s staff training, in particular on Financial Crime topics;
- Understand and contribute to achieving the vision set out by business leaders. Work collaboratively within the team and wider group;
- Take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of own data;
- Gain and maintain an understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Having 2-3 years’ experience operating in a similar role within a professional services organisation (preferably within an AIFM / Management Company or an advisory firm).
- Having a very good knowledge of the European/Luxembourg legal and regulatory framework (i.e. AIFM and UCITS Directives and related regulations, AML/CFT, Financial Sanctions, Conflicts of
- Interest, Data Protection, Market Abuse etc.). Knowledge of broader financial markets and investment products.
- Excellent written and spoken command of English as well as French. Knowledge of Italian is an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
- Knowledge of name screening tools.
- Team-player with excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrate excellent analytical and synthetic skills.
